I am an unabashed film geek with an interest in exploring coming-of-age and identity in any genre with a particular love for the clash between fantasy and reality with ordinary characters finding themselves in extraordinary situations.
I direct and at times, writes and edits film and TV dramas whether the stories are based on Deaf / BSL (British Sign Language) like myself, hearing or Disabled people.
My work have been shown at festivals, both nationally and internationally, winning awards as well as being broadcast on Film4, CBBC and streamed on Sky On Demand.
I directed a short film 'Asa' that was funded by BFI Network South East starring Nicholas Pinnock and had its UK premiere at BAFTA-qualifying Osa Bright Film Festival.
I took part in the BBC Elevate scheme with an aim to work towards directing HETV drama.
I am a member of Directors UK, I have been mentored as part of their Inspire 2023/24 mentorship by Jesse Quinones as well as Paul Unwin with Screen Skills.
Variety covered the production of my latest directing gig, The Letter, a 1934-set story of Deaf Germans being oppressed by Nazis in this article
